the issue i am facing with larger files is not "temporary". i have been uploading since last year or so, each time it will stuck and i need to re-upload again. sometimes in the second attempt it goes through or else i have to re-upload couple more times.
since yesterday, re-uploading too doesn't work, i kept re-uploading one file more than 10 times and every time it stuck. today morning also i tried, it didn't work, now i have to split files which are more than 1GB and it worked.
i will try "new uploader" from the link you provided and will let you know the result.

Same problem I faced Yesterday. After a couple of Hours, it works. It needs to be fix
